Certainly you ...I think they are a part of the hat. Certainly you see a lot of shiny grapes/berries/fruit as millinery trims like that. Turbans seem to make a reappearance regularly, and I think the 30s was another peak time for them. Apparently they are coming back in now, for racewear, but with different style twists again.Tanithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09915557658875958630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-753730293874291295.post-5782940276532490662014-09-01T16:00:00.472+10:002014-09-01T16:00:00.472+10:00It's really interesting how you can see such a...It's really interesting how you can see such a sharp shift towards some of the hat styles that would come to be iconic of the millinery scene in the early to mid-60s here already. I'm often struck by how true this is of nearly all types of clothing and accessories from the mid-50s onward. A lot of folks think things like pointy toe shoes, shift dresses, and bucket hats came about in the early 60s, but they were already gaining steam from about 1955/56 (if not earlier in some cases) onward.

Great post, dear Tanith! I enjoy this series tremendously!

♥ Jessica Witchcrafted Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02992822472797191121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-753730293874291295.post-46090987883264146922014-08-31T07:17:10.636+10:002014-08-31T07:17:10.636+10:00That last hat is so fantastic! For some reason, it makes me think of the 30s.
I love these posts, they make me so excited to find some great hats.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06827840216337511678noreply@blogger.com
